Administering an estate can be a minefield even where it seems straightforward. However, there are times when it does not go quite to plan.
If you are an Executor or a Personal Representative and there is a dispute of any kind then it is essential that you get legal advice from a specialist solicitor in order to protect the estate as well as yourself. This may include matters such as:
- Claims against the estate
- The validity of the Will
- Inheritance ( Family Provisions) Act 1975 claims
- Intestacy – establishing / locating beneficiaries
- Disagreements between parties i.e. executors or beneficiaries
We are experienced and equipped to deal with these issues and aim to bring them to a conclusion as swift a possible with the least cost to the estate.
We play an integral part in mediating and navigating a path through potential litigation.
This is a specialised form of litigation where the experience and skillset of Mrs Lynda E. Cobain would be invaluable to any estate.

LPAs are an essential part of forward planning when putting your affairs in order. They allow you to be in control of who is appointed should you need assistance in the future with your day to day finances or health and welfare issues, whether this is help with the practical side of things, like telephone calls or going to the bank for you or someone to make decisions on your behalf if you are not able to do so.
Without an LPA in place it makes it very difficult to virtually impossible for a family member or carer to help in these matters and can result in a person not or your choosing being appointed. An LPA must be put in place before you are in that position and are made in case these circumstances arise.
Our specialist team understand the potential and less obvious complexities of putting an LPA in place and we make the process as easy as possible for our clients. We advise attorneys and act as professional attorneys, providing a dedicated and highly trustworthy service.
If you would like to put an LPA in place or discuss the options available further please contact Lynda Cobain or Jo-Ann Mason
